Dear Gwynn it's been a tough few weeks or moths...... voyaging  across the world to New Zealand it's been really tough at nights because I've have two palled fast to get away from the sharks. as i continued paddling i was really missing my family and you and also syriah and aretafaye. one night i saw light across the water when i paddle fast as i could to see what was  that light. when i had a look closer i saw the sky tower. i was cheering really loud because i really really proud of myself voyaging across the world . when i got out of the boat i got pick up from my aunty as we were talking she was saying how proud she was of me for sailing across the world from Tonga to new Zealand.

Today in home class we were finished off our group work for math's for the task
we were doing Multiplication and Division and reversibility with division.

also in maths we had to do one more task called solving word problems with my number knowledge.

Eva Athletics day

Last week on friday the whole school came to together to participate in athletics. While team 5 was walking down everyone was pump up to do all of sports. When the rest of team 5 went to sit down mrs va’afusuaga was talking about how much fun the whole school is gonna have also she said that if you come 1st,2, and 3rd.in the activity then you will get a chance to compete in a Tournament.When mrs va’afusuaga stop talking siaosi said the karakia after the karakia.

Mr burt let us go to do our first Rotation for the year 7 girls were doing long throw. For long Throw you have to throw a baseball from a distance. When all the 7 girl throw from a distance the gave the ball to the other person and keep on doing the same thing until mr Jacobson blows the trumpet.  

After softball the year 7 girls next activity was relay for relay after relay when went to tiger ball for tiger ball you have 4 teams to win you had to make sure that the other team doesn't throw a ball into your line. After tiger ball the year 7 girl’s went to volley ball,shot put, after shot put it was time for the high jump. If you don't know what high jump is it is when you have to run and jump over bar and try not to knock over the bar.

When all the year 7 girl’s were having a turn it was really hard trying to don't hit of the bar when you're trying not to. After high jump it was kind of getting more harder for the year 7 girls because we were doing a 100 metre race. When the year 7 girl were listening to Mr burt. Mr burt said to the year 7 girl to line up into to 3 line’s and wait until he clap’s this thing and then we go.when the first line was running all the girl were trying there best running the 100 meters run. Later on we only had 3 more activity to go. Like javelin,discus and this other game.

After lunch all the house colour were have a relay race to see who win’s. The name’s for the house colours were red,green,blue and yellow. After the relay there was another really for teacher and parents.

When it was nearly the end the last few runners were running their heart’s out to win when all them past the finish line. Yellow came 1st,red and blue came 2 and i think that green came 3rd or 2. When i was doing all of the activity i felt good about myself trying all the different sport and having a go at it.

Eva starting with strings activity

Today in reading my group and the rest of the other groups  were making a question cube box from each of a groups story. The title of my story was staring with strings for my question i did when do they practice, who teaches them, what might happen if the brake there instruments, when did they start playing there instruments, why do they have two stay home and practice and where do they practice. if you want to answer my question just search up starting with strings and just find the answer in the book.

Eva Test practice week 3

Eva Mr Andrew Patterson. speech

Today in team 5 we had a special guess come into team 5. his name is Mr  Andrew Patterson.

Mr Patterson came in to team 5 to talk to us about what do you want to do in life and more when he was speaking he was talking about what do you want to be when you grow up and always to have a
plan B when your trying to find a job. The 2 thing that he was talking about is AIM. The A stand for
aspiration that means doing want you wont The I stand for inspiration. inspiration means inspired   by someone like your favourites sport player and one of your family member. all together that means success.

The last letter is M. M stands for motivation. after he explaining  what AIM works he was telling this story about how he plane was cancels and he had to book his hotel when he went to book his hotel there were about 100 people waiting in line when he was in the front he saw 2 young pa to rents with 3 kids under 5 years old waiting in line at the back of the line. when Mr Patterson  were looking at them he walk down to the back of the line and said to to them to come into the the front of the line.

after that story he had another story about this kid name Willie that a  11 years. who gave a homeless
man his lunch money and a pie for 2 weeks. after 2 week the homeless man walk to Willie school and
talk about how Willie was giving his lunch money and a pie. when he told his school they were so amazed. hen the home less man told the school Willie got a golden award for being kind. helpful and being a nice boy and helping someone that  haven't got  a home or any food.

when Mr Patterson heard what Willie did he diced to sup prize Willie with a fight to Wellington when Willie and Mr Patterson went to the airport Willie didn't know were he was going when they go onto the plane Willie was so excited because he haven't been on a plane before. when they headed  to Wellington Mr Patterson,Willie and Willie best friend where in wellington viewing it with a day also did you know Willie best friend is studying year 13 work.

Eva why is regular exercise important

Today in reading we were learning how to write an explanation writing for are test next week on Monday.

Regular exercise helps you burn fat in a day and it makes you feel nice and healthy. Also if you exercise there will be a chance the you won't get any diseases.  

If you eat heaps of junk food and you're trying to lose weight the way to lose weight is to do regular exercise If you exercise every 3 or 4 weeks you will keep on burning fat and getting you more healthy. or you can eat any healthy food to lose more weight.Also when you lose weight you will be good about yourself. when you eating something healthy you will lose about 3 or 5 pounds.   

When you exercise you keep on losing more weight and it helps you  burn calories in a day. when you exercise every day there will be a chance that you won’t get any diseases like diabetes,cancer and cardiovascular.  

When you exerciser really hard you lose about 300 calories.but if you exercise every week you will lose heaps of weight in a day.

regular exercise is important because it help you burn fat. and it also helps you to don't to get any diseases and it make you feel good about yourself.

Today in maths we were learning how to understand negative numbers

Today in home class we were filming a fun taste testing video. from a YouTube channel called Jess and avya. on Monday Mrs Judd were taking people out of class to film. but Today some people were away when we were filming so Mrs Judd decide to get the people that were away to taste some food.
when the 7 people were tasting there the food everyone was trying to make them think that it was yuck. 5 mins later everyone was laughing because Jayde was to scared to taste anything.

After that Mrs Judd grab something gross out of the plastic bag and put down one the table . one by one each person was felling it everyone one the table was how gross it fells. when it come down to Jadye. she was to scared to touch. 1 secs later Jadye touch and she screaming how gross it was. when all of the
7 people had there blind folds on Mrs Judd grab the gross thing and was putting it in all the 7 people faces. everyone on the floor was laughing hard out.

when Mrs Judd was putting the gross thing in all the 7 peoples face she went up the William. and she saw his mouth open so she put it in his mouth i was biting it. after that Mrs Judd decide to put nothing
on the table. and everyone was laughing.

i think my Favorited part is when i was trying different food and i think the hardest thing is when i was trying to guess what kind of food it is.

 

Tongan language week

Last week on Friday it was Tongan Language week. for assembly The Tongan group perform up on the stage. for the theme i was fakaoloa Aoteroa aki ae nofo ae kainga this means Enriching Aotearoa with our family values . on Friday me and my friend aretafaye perform in the Tongan group the girls were doing a dance and the boys were doing a Tongan Haka. when we were practising we were deciding  what actions we want to do for the girls dance when we got all the actions together we started practising  really hard. when it was Friday Mr Burt ask the Tongan group to come up and perform.  first we did some some speeches in Tongan and then  the Tongan girl started. the name for the girls song was fotui he la'a after the girls dance it was the boys Haka. after the boys Haka everyone was clapping then the Tongan group went to sit down.
