Eva-Summer Learning journey-is it fair or not fair the women didn't vote back then.

Back in the day only men were allowed  to vote but not lady's i think that is not fair that lady's can't vote and man can. but a few year's later in  the 1800s Kate Sheppard lead a suffragist movement and came up with a idea to change the Law. after her had work The Law was Changed. in 1893 women were allowed to vote. across the world New Zealand  was the first county to let women vote. also there were still county in the world that didn't allowed women to vote. if kate sheppard didn't make a plane to changed the law women wouldn't be allowed to vote in the future.

  2. Hi Eva,

Ruby here from the Summer Learning Journey team! It's great to see that you've been working on these activities. Keep it up!

You've done some good thinking here about Kate Sheppard and the suffragette movement. How does it make you feel that women in Saudi Arabia were only allowed to vote in 2015? I don't think it's fair and I'm wondering what you think.

It makes me feel very proud that New Zealand was the first country to allow women to vote. How does it make you feel?

I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.
